Supported TV

Philips 55PUT6794/57 (PUT6794 series, Saphi OS) is the officially supported TV. Other Philips Saphi models may work but are untested. If you have another TV, tap Request support in the app.

How to check your TV model

Look at the sticker on the back of the TV.
Or open the TV’s Settings > General > Information.

Setup

Connect your iPhone and your TV to the same Wi-Fi network.
Open the app and allow Local Network permission when iOS asks. You can change it later in iOS Settings > Cerkya Remote.
Let the app scan and pick your TV from the list.
If your TV does not appear, choose the manual option and enter the TV’s IP address (find it in the TV’s network settings or your router).

Troubleshooting

The TV is not found

Check that the iPhone and the TV are on the same Wi-Fi network (not a guest network, and not a separate 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz network that your router isolates).
Make sure Local Network access is on for Cerkya Remote in iOS Settings.
Make sure the TV is on, then scan again, or enter its IP address manually.

Commands do not work

Confirm the TV is connected to the same network and has not changed its IP address; if it did, select it again.
Close and reopen the app, then reconnect to the TV.

The TV must be on or in networked standby

The app can only reach the TV while it is on or in a standby mode that keeps its network active. If the TV is fully off, or its network is turned off in standby, it cannot be found or controlled.

Netflix and YouTube buttons

These buttons ask the TV to launch the app. They work only if the app is installed on the TV and the TV is on.

Number keypad for PINs

Use the number keypad in the remote to enter PINs and channel numbers.

Demo mode

No compatible TV at hand? On the TV picker, tap Try demo mode. It simulates a TV inside the app and never uses the network.

Request support for another TV

In the app, tap Request support next to a detected unsupported TV, or open Settings and choose Request support for my TV. Enter your TV brand and model. Your email and notes are optional. Attaching the diagnostics log is optional too: you can turn it off, and the form shows a preview of exactly what will be sent. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

FAQ

Does the app need an account?

No. There is no account or login.

Does it work over mobile data or away from home?

No. The app controls the TV over your local Wi-Fi network, so your iPhone must be on the same network as the TV.

Does the app track me?

No. There is no tracking and no analytics. Data is sent to us only if you submit the support form.

Does it work with my TV?

The officially supported TV is the Philips 55PUT6794/57. Other Philips Saphi models may work but are untested. For any other TV, send a support request from the app.

Is the app affiliated with Philips?

No. Cerkya Remote is independent and is not affiliated with Philips or TP Vision.
